With the carrier as importer — usual for door-to-door duty paid from China — its broker and its bond handle the entry. With your company as importer, you import under your own EIN or IRS number, through the carrier’s broker or your own.
If you use your own broker, name it, so the carrier knows whom to send the documents to. If the carrier’s broker clears the goods, it may need your power of attorney: it appears on your hand-over list.
